This morning we woke up and knew that today was travel day. After doing it for what felt like months, we all had a system when it came to taking down our tent and sharing responsibility. For my tentmates, we knew that before breakfast we wanted to have the majority of our things packed if not be fully packed. When it came to the tent tear down, we knew that Bee and Same would take care of it since the mishap that occurred in Deschutes (a tent pole snapped and was repaired by bright red tape).

After packing and getting loaded up we hit the road. We had planned to stop at Eugene in order to use the public library and upload our blogs. We arrived in Eugene and it was so amazing. I felt like I was in Seattle or a large city, so it felt nice. Once we entered the library, we all spread out to type our little hearts away. After an hour passed, a group of decided to go with Brandon to eat some Asian food. So, we all jumped up and left to the restaurant. We started to panic when we realized that we only have fifteen minutes left before our time to meet up was so we were coming up with solutions that would result in a win- win situation. Luckily, we all got our food at the same time and we devoured our food. We started walking to our van and arrived early compared to the rest of the group. With the extra time I ran to the record shop across the road and picked up a record. (Best day ever!)

Once we got into the van, we all took turns falling asleep as Dr. Black drove to the beach. Fast forward a few hours and we arrived at the beach.

Upon our arrival, a few of us ran to the beach and took off our sandals and enjoyed the warm sand in our toes. Later that night after many of us swam in the ocean and tooksteaming hotshowers – best feeling ever- we gathered at a firepit that was created and successfully lit by Alex. At that pit it was something completely beautiful, we heard from the high school students and my heart was so happy. That night, I can say that I fell asleep completely happy and content with how our trip ended.

Life Lesson:
Opening up, even though it may be messy and scary ends up being a beautiful thing.
